Affordable health insurance for you and your family

Health Insurance is essentially an insurance coverage which pays you or members of your family for unforeseen medical expenses incurred from illness or injury. You would normally expect different levels of cover available, including multiple plans for local cover and other plans which would cover you internationally.

All plans provide you with coverage for a wide range of services, with pre-set limits and/or full benefits, depending on the plan you choose.

Health Insurance might be perceived as expensive, but not having it can cost so much more. Choosing the right plan for you and your loved ones will give you the peace of mind you truly deserve.

Different Covers

All Insurers usually offer different levels of cover – The basic one would normally offer limited cover in clinics and hospitals whereby the comprehensive cover would offer full refunds on various benefits in the Maltese Islands. International plans are also available and offer cover on various benefits internationally.

24/7 Emergency Services

Most Health Insurance Policies also include access to 24/7 Emergency Services. This would give you the possibility of getting in touch with a doctor for guidance on any health-related situations and may also include other services such as having a doctor sent to your residence.

Flexibility

There are a number of options which can help reduce the cost of your health insurance. One option would be to opt for in-patient and daycare treatment and exclude out-patient benefits.

Most Insurance Companies give you the option of having different levels of excess – this will allow various discounts on your annual premium. Some Insurers also allow discounts on premiums for customers who choose specific methods of payment such as Direct Debit.

Group Policies

Most Insurance Companies offer tailor-made health insurance plans for groups, which would normally include different benefits, subject to the client’s specific requirements. Groups would also benefit from substantial discounts on the total premium payable.

Type of covers to choose from:

In-Patient

Considered to be the most basic health insurance cover, this would typically cover you for any hospitalisation (in-patient and day-patient) and related costs in Malta, also possibly having limited cover outside Malta. Cover is naturally subject to maximum limits and may vary from one insurer to another.

In Patient & Out Patient

This cover is considered to be more comprehensive when compared to the ‘In-Patient’ one, since it also includes cover for out-patient benefits. Cover would also typically include GP charges, specialist consultation fees and diagnostic procedures amongst others. Cover is applicable in Malta, also having limited cover outside Malta in most cases. Once again, limits of covers vary from one Insurer to another.

International Cover

This type of plan provides cover for comprehensive benefits with a worldwide cover, normally excluding USA and Canada. An International Cover is normally ideal for a customer who is a frequent traveler requiring piece of mind whenever abroad.

All you need to know

Switch with VING

Most people always have doubts as to whether they are getting the right insurance cover or paying the right premium. The process of obtaining various quotations from different insurance companies in order to compare the different aspects of cover as well as premium might be too complex or time consuming, so they end up never making the switch.

This is where VING comes in – we are Insurance Brokers, and that is our job. We will obtain various quotes from different Insurers, analyse them and advise you on the various aspects of cover and premium. You will not incur any additional costs at all by using our services. We get paid by means of commissions payable by insurance companies or agencies we place business with.

When to switch

Customers normally think about switching insurance companies when their policies are up for renewal.

We advise you otherwise – you don’t have to wait – Switch to VING today.

All you have to do is appoint us as your Insurance Brokers – we will take over all your current insurance policies as well as assist you with any active claims you might have. Once your policies are up for renewal, we will obtain other quotations on your behalf and get you the best possible cover at the most competitive rates.
